Competition Class

Competition has always had a place throughout the history of Japan International Karate Center. Currently, we hold two intra-school tournaments per year at which students from all our JIKC dojos compete with one another in an atmosphere which is focused and fun. We believe that when students are properly introduced to competition, everyone grows and learns. There is no doubt, however, that some students can also benefit from and enjoy the more frequent and intense training that is necessary for success in national and international competition, and that these benefits then spread throughout the dojo. To this end, several of our JIKC dojos offer special competitive training and we have produced many champions at the state, national and international levels.

Any student willing to make the commitment to the extra hours and extra work that serious competition requires is welcome in our Competition Program.
